Drumduff, built by Green Breeze Energy our joint venture with Greenpower, is a powerful symbol of the country's transition from polluting fossil fuels to cleaner, greener renewable energy. This film captures the completion and transition from coal mine to wind power, featuring drone footage.
We've also been recognised for our new Community Energy Funding Bridge by Community Energy England. The innovative financing solution has been shortlisted in the Community Energy Finance Award category. The Community Energy Funding Bridge provides temporary finance for communities wishing to purchase or build their own renewable energy projects. Our financial support gives community groups the extra time they need to fundraise themselves. So local people can take ownership of renewable energy projects near them and reap the financial, social and environmental rewards.
’œIt is wonderful to be recognised for our innovation in finance enabling individuals to share ownership of renewable energy sites. And we are so proud of Drumduff, a bright, hopeful symbol of what our future could be without polluting fossil fuels’ says Matthew Clayton, MD of Thrive. ’œWe are honoured to be shortlisted in both awards with some impressive organisations doing fantastic work to reduce UK reliance on fossil fuels.’
